Nearly a Year

It's been nearly a year since you & I began our time together. We've definately had our ups & downs, but I believe on the whole, there's been more happiness than not. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you & the love I feel for you. You wrote this last year.... "Come here, I have something to tell You..." ...and then You looked deep into my eyes. Trees surrounded us like ancient sentries guarding the entrance to our souls opened wide and vulnerable. In that moment, I could have been anywhere in the universe...it would not have mattered where i was when you said I Love You for the first time. I remember that your face glowed in the morning light. I remember the surge of emotion that coursed through my body as the words left Your lips and landed lightly on my heart. I have no idea what expression greeted You...I hope my face displayed joy and happiness and willingness to share this journey for a long time. For the first time in many years...and in some ways for the first time ever, I am done looking for someone to serve and share time with. We seem to be well fit for each other...both whole and with rich lives apart as well as together. What freedom there is when neither person clings like a drowning woman to her rescuer. And for me, what a paradox...that this freedom means I am bound more closely to You than I have words to describe, except to say... ...that I love You, too. So.....are those sentiments still true?

A True Sign of Love

I'm sitting here with 3/4 of my hair covered in a *new* color. I thought 1 box would be enough....but it's not. If I was using the same color, it wouldn't matter, but I decided I wanted to try something different. So.....my kind, wonderful, thoughtful, sweet & loving husband got dressed and went to the store to get me another box of hair dye. Now that's devotion for you. :)

Play Ball

Ok, I might not be the most athletically inclined person...but I do know the basic rules of a few sports.....like softball for instance. You hit the ball, if it doesn't go off too far to the right or left, and if no one catches it, you run like hell around as many bases as you can before someone catches it, or touches you with it. If you hit the ball and someone catches it immediately, that's an out. If someone catches it or touches you with it while your running around the bases....that's an out. If I remember correctly, 3 outs and the other team gets a shot at things So....let's apply this to life....and making mistakes or errors. There is no other team to come up to bat, but there definately will be some sort of um....enforcement of the training.... Out 1 - failing to inform me of your plans, and expecting someone else to do it. Out 2 - failing to contact me, when I've clearly stated I expect some sort of contact (1 line) every night except Mondays. What will Out 3 be?
