I'm not exactly sure what 'sensible career goals' is. I've pretty much let go of my 'pie in the sky' dream of my bookstore. Something I need to understand better

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was. We do not possess anything in this world, least of all other people. We only imagine that we do. Our friends, our lovers, our spouses, even our children are not ours; they belong only to themselves. Possessive and controlling friendships and relationships can be as harmful as neglect. Later, when I have a hour or 2 to dedicate to a serious post...I've got a few things to say about Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends & Influence People." I wish I had read this a long time ago...there are a lot of simple truths in there...truths that many probably already know, and just push aside in their minds because their main focus is 'me, me, me.'
