Being submissive doesn't mean you can't have an opinion - by all means have them, and express them, though it may be overridden. Whenever I ask for opinions, preferences, thoughts, or whatnot....I'm not asking to hear myself talk, and I'm definitely not asking so that I can hear someone parrot back to me what they think I want to hear. If you think that your going to end up disagreeing with me, or expressing something unpleasant that I might not want to hear, that's OK! Just say what you want to say in a respectful manner, and I'll more than likely be totally ok with it. Having a difference of opinion is acceptable & expected. Arguing with me, in a disrespectful manner is not. There's a difference between debating & arguing. One is rational, the other is emotional. The emotional form usually accomplishes nothing but making all parties concerned hurt & upset.
