You Know You're an Adult When...

You are paying your mom's bills. Mom is at least 2 years behind on her property taxes ... and can't pay enough to keep them happy (I say at least 2 because she can't seem to tell me the correct amount owed. It was $2500 Saturday, $1800 yesterday, and today it was $1100). I don't want her living with me (ever), so I agreed to pay the immediate back taxes, and we're looking into having the County just send me the tax bill & I'll pay it from here on out. $600 a year is pretty much nothing to me (Michigan is cheap isn't it?), but she only makes 20K or so a year, so it's a massive amount for her.
