Seeking Professional Opinion

Rik & I are going to a costume party in January - and we're most likely going as Roger & Jessica Rabbit. For those of you who are costumers/sewing pros Do you think this (dress has corset lacing in back and is cut to just above the tush) Can be altered to look similar to this?
