Tis The Season

So, I leave my home around 6PM to go to a BDSM party. What do I find when I get home at 4AM?? A real Xmas tree, with lights & 1 present under it. We've been in this house for 5.5 years and have never had a real tree. 2 years ago, I got one of the 2' tall ones with the fiber optics, and that sits on our entertainment center year-round. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if we've ever had a real tree. This will be the first time since we've been together (July 1993) that we have been in our own home for Xmas. Usually we're in Chico at Rik's brothers' house, or in San Jose at his parents'.....and a few random winter trips to ski cabins with the whole dang family, and 1 trip to Rik's sisters' place in Michigan (snow snow snow, lots of snow). No family....no travelling....no hassle. I think we need to make this a new tradition.
