Naming Names

I was told recently that a friend of mine accidentally used my 'name' in a comment to someone else's post...and said friend was worried that I'd be bothered about my 'name' being out there. (Shrug) Honestly, I don't care. While I don't go shouting from the general rooftops who & what I am, I don't really try too hard to hide it either. If anyone really wanted to, they could just read through this thing and find my legal name. Or, if they are the type who can access archived posts on the 'net, they could find the thread where I totally outted myself around July 2001 (due to being totally outted at work). I respect other people's choice to use an alias or vague descriptions when talking about themself or others & I do my best to follow whatever naming convention other people want or need. For myself, all I ask is that if you use my name, use it honestly. I'd prefer to be known for who I am and what I've done & nothing much beyond that. My name is Valia & I approve this message. :)
