Ever have 1 of those days....

Where you wish everyone would fawn over you & tell you how great they think you are? NOT because your vain & self-centered....but because for some reason you're just a bit down & could really use the ego boost.... then to make it worse.....ever feel irritated because it's not happening....then you turn around & get mad at yourself for being irritated at other people for something they don't even know about??

I GOT PROMOTED & A RAISE & NOW REPORT TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have a lot of details yet, because the whole thing is still being worked out. 1. Whatever is happening will be "effective" 10/31. 2. 1st I'm getting my normal annual review, which has the potential of a 2.00% to 4.50% raise. Once that happens, then my salary for my new position will be an additional 4.00% on top of the salary from my review. 3. I will now be reporting to the CEO & only the CEO. 4. I will still be doing most of what I do now with HR, benefits & payroll. They will be hiring a clerk/receptionist to take my place up front, as well as a HR Manager. What HR duties I have beyond Payroll & benefits will be determined once we hire & train these 2 people. 5. I will be the lead for keeping track of all of the documentation for our new lending division, Participation Loans. Basically, these are multi-million dollar business loans that we go into with other credit unions. Apparently these loans generate a huge amount of paperwork & the Auditors just love it when something is missing, wrong, or out of place. In the future I might actually start working on these loans as some sort of loan officer. 6. When (not if) my current boss, the VP of HR retires, I will be getting her office. Ok folks.....that's everything I know now. More details to come as I get them

I swear if it's not dominant women that are catching my interest....it's the ones who are for all intents & purposes....heterosexual. Missing the Obvious?

OK....since just about everyone who reads this is queer &/or kinky to some degree....maybe you can help me with some suggestions. and before you answer....YES, I've been Googling this stuff already. I'm just looking for a more direct route than clicking on hundreds of links which might only have 1-2 that are really useful. :) 1. Does anyone know of any job hunting sites that are specifically geared for diverse workplaces? (IE, a queer/kink friendly version of monster.com) 2. The porn/adult (toys, movies, , magazine/books, other types of media) industry....surely the bigger companies/websites/whatever have some sort of administrative support structure.....besides looking at every dang site & hunting for the 'about us/corporate' button (which let me tell you can be well hidden).....where do you think they post their admin. related positions? I've been thinking more & more lately.....I should try working for a company that I might be genuinely interested in who they are & what they do.....and barring that, at the very least, a company that has a healthy sprinkling of queer/kinky people in it's employee pool. So...since I'm looking for work in non-traditional places, I'm thinking I need to try non-traditional methods of job hunting.
