Ooops I Did It (wrong) Again

It's been about a year now since I changed my hair color from the vibrant burgundy. That whole time I've been trying to find the 'perfect' shade of a light brown/dark blonde that I saw on a Clairol box last year. I've used that same color 4 times, and it never came out right. I've been too dark, too light....never just right. Now....I'm definately not right...a bit too brassy looking, and doesn't really suit my coloring at all....so....once I get past this interview, and I think I can do it w/o my hair falling out... I'm going back to the burgundy. I've got 4 boxes of that same color...and I'm just tired of trying to find the elusive perfect shade of light brown/dark blonde. Honestly, I don't think I've look quite 'right' since I've changed colors....having hair that total strangers would compliment me on was a part of my identity....it was one of the things that made me different & stand out...and with the myriad shades of brown & blonde I've had during the last year....I just kinda look.....blah.
